Here’s a handy guide on all the amazing experiences that await you and your crew off the off-piste at Bella Coola Heli Sports:

Tweedsmuir Park Lodge

Every superhero has an origin story, and Tweedsmuir Park Lodge is where ours was first written. For two decades, we’ve been escorting skiers and snowboarders from around the world to this flagship, 60-acre private site in the heart of the Nuxalk Nation’s Bella Coola Valley territory. A charter member of The Magnificent 7 Wilderness Lodges of Canada, it’s home to 10 private timber-frame chalets and a main lodge providing common space with all the requisite amenities for small groups or large parties of up to 20 to enjoy dining, games and socializing. Looking to soothe and smooth some aching muscles from the day’s excursion? Relax in the onsite sauna or 12-person outdoor hot tub, stretch it out in the gymnasium, or book a massage with one of our registered therapists.

Eagle Lodge

After soaring with the Eagles atop the Coast Mountain peaks, settle in for a home-sweet-home-away-from-home experience at the recently refurbished Eagle Lodge, situated in the quaint community of Hagensborg, only five minutes from the Bella Coola airport and our helicopters. Eagle Lodge serves as the HQ for our Classic PLUS, Classic Vertical, and Classic XL programs and offers the best bang for your budget, comfortably accommodating both solo or duo skiers or snowboarders or groups of up to 12 in nine guest rooms. Beyond the breathtaking mountain views, it also boasts an impressive open concept common area with a pool table, as well as a games room with a fireplace, a full-service bar, an outdoor hot tub and massage services.

Pantheon Heli Ranch

You’ll understand immediately why we call this former cattle ranch in the heart of the Coast Range wilderness ‘Pantheon’ when you and your crew step into the boots of mountain gods to explore uncharted terrain in BC’s highest peaks in the Coast Range — and enjoy our inimitable West Coast hospitality once the day’s runs are done. With a maximum capacity of 9 guests, it’s the perfect place for a close group of friends to book the entire facility and have multiple mountain ranges all to themselves. Amenities include private single-occupancy rooms for all guests, a riverside wood-fed Finnish sauna, hot tub, and massage room, snowshoes, cross-country skis and ice skates to use on the lake, an impressive and centrally located wood fireplace, and a sports bar with billiards table and other games.

Mystery Mountain Ranch

It’s rustic, remote and one of the most exclusive heli-skiing options available in BC. Welcome to Mystery Mountain Ranch at Sand Creek, where a group of five can spend all day exploring virgin terrain near Mt Waddington - BC’s highest peak, then relax, recharge and regale each other with tall tales at night in a ranch nestled deep in the mountains and far from the madding crowd. The ranch has four bedrooms, a large living room with a fireplace and plenty of space to kick back and consider which first descents you and your crew will cut through the millions of acres of deep powder available to you at first light the following morning.

Terra Nostra Guest Ranch

At Terra Nostra, groups of up to eight can claim first-descents and experience endless above-treeline adventures. This working ranch is situated on the Chilcotin Plateau where guests can lace up skates for a hockey game, go ice fishing on Clearwater Lake, or explore the backcountry on horseback, snowshoes or cross-country skis. Another unique feature of the ranch is its outdoor kitchen and wood-fired oven, which host Christoph will fire up in the morning for guests to create their own pizzas upon their return. The ranch has four cozy rooms located in the log chalet lodge, which also has a spacious dining room, games area and lounge with a fireplace and satellite wireless internet.

Catamaran-Based Heli Skiing on MV Cascadia

Pining for the fjords? Set adrift after a day on the slopes in a floating mobile lodge and enjoy a luxury heli-skiing experience unlike any other by booking an excursion onboard the 138-foot MV Cascadia catamaran. Every day is a new adventure as the private helicopter lifts from the main deck each morning whisking guests off to fresh powder before returning them every night to a new anchorage where they can indulge in a brisk, cold-water plunge before soaking in a top-deck jacuzzi beneath the stars. Designed for groups of up to eight (nautical-minded non-skiers also welcome!), the Cascadia offers eight spacious cabins with ever-changing views, elegant lounges and the same top-shelf amenities and service found in our land-based lodges. Indulge in a well-deserved massage, take the kayaks out for a spin, soak in the top deck hot tub overlooking the setting sun, and tuck into mouth-watering cuisine after a long day on the slopes.
